Our Hiring Process At WEO Media, we work hard to communicate with candidates at every step of the process. When you apply through our ATS (BambooHR), you'll have an opportunity to upload a resume, a cover letter sharing how your experience relates to the role we are searching to fill, along with links to your portfolio (if relevant). We'll confirm we've received your application materials, and we aim to review applications every 2 business days.
If you are selected to move forward, or if we are declining to continue the process, you will receive an update. If you have been selected to move forward, you'll receive an email through BambooHR with an invitation to schedule a phone screen interview.
Please note: Our Director of Operations role will have four interview rounds. Initially there will be a 30 minute phone screening with our current Director, and candidates moving forward will meet with one of our co-founders for a 60 minute zoom interview. Candidates that move forward will have two zoom interviews - one with our Senior Leadership and one with a selection of Operations team members. Please reach out if you have questions!
Interviewing at WEO Media Our phone interviews last between 30-45 minutes and will give you an opportunity to learn more about the position we are hiring for, answer your questions, and help us understand more about your skills and qualifications for the role. After we have finished phone interviews, we will move forward with Zoom interviews.
Our Zoom interviews are panels of WEO Media team members, so you'll have about 7-8 WEOians on the call with you. This gives you an opportunity to meet folks from across our small team, hear about their experiences, and gives them an opportunity to ask you questions as well. The end of our time together, you'll meet with our Director of HR to ask questions about compensation, benefits, and anything else you would like to inquire about. Plan about 60-75 minutes for our Zoom interviews.
Workplace We spend over 1/3rd of our lifetime working, and we believe in creating an environment that is supportive, innovative, collaborative, and creates a best-in-class customer experience.
Compensation Total compensation at WEO Media includes base salary, benefits, variable bonuses based on department objectives, and retirement plan contributions. Pay equity is of utmost importance to our leadership team and we have regular equity reviews to ensure alignment across departments.

Our Culture We have invested heavily in forming a culture of open collaboration, supporting the act of failing forward, and always being open to how we can grow and become better both individually and as a team. Our employees are asked to read or listen to "Leadership & Self Deception" published by The Arbinger Institute during their first 30 days, and options for continued learning and development are made available.
Here are what some of our team members have to say about what they enjoy at WEO Media:
"I love that I'm always learning. There's always opportunities to know more than you did before, so there's really endless opportunities to help our clients become more successful! I like knowing there's no limit to that.
Also the open, inviting, and hardworking environment that the WEO team truly gives! They all really wanted to get to know me on a personal level which made a job that could've been very ordinary turn into one where I feel cared and appreciated for! It makes it so much easier and more fulfilling to work hard when you know others can see it too!"
"The culture is amazing. Everyone is willing to help each other to be the best they can be in their role. No one is out to get you or eager to point out your flaws. No contentious work environment. They practice inclusion and acceptance. Totally part of a true team."
Employees Answer:
What do you wish you would have known about WEO before you started?
"How small WEO is, and all the ways that size matters. I didn't know WEO had already been through a recession, and a pandemic, and had to lay people off, and the choices that WEO made during that time…in terms of job security, it is good to know that WEO has some experience with turbulence.
Also, we are so small that I got to go out to brunch with 9 others, including an owner of the company & the HR Director! WEO is so small that eventually, hopefully, I will meet and/or interact with each person here.
Another aspect of our small size is that there are not streamlined training experiences across the board. Because of the inconsistencies with training, I had a very different experience than my coworkers who began on the same day as me. Although I experienced a lack of structure and a communication breakdown because of that, I also get to be part of the solution, working with a small group of folks on SOP's and resources (I don't believe this would happen in a bigger, more corporate workplace)."
