MAX Directions from Airport to Hotel Lucia

Portland's MAX Light Rail public transportation has a near-direct route from the PDX Airport to Hotel Lucia!

1. After offboarding into PDX, proceed towards baggage claim and follow the signs for the MAX Light Rail. An escalator will take you down a level. Once off the escalator, take a right and continue pass baggage claim following signs for the MAX Light Rail.

2. The MAX station will be outside, through the sliding doors. Before leaving the building, you can purchase your $2.80 2½ hour ticket using the terminals to the left of the exterior door.

Hold onto your receipt for reimbursement!

3. The MAX Red Line heading to City Center & Beaverton is the only MAX line leaving from the Airport, so take whichever light rail car is available once you purchase your ticket.

The MAX runs every 15 minutes or less most of the day, every day. Click here for a weekday schedule departing from PDX.

4. After 16 stops (about 35-40min), get off on the Pioneer Square North station.

5. From the Pioneer Square North station, head towards the CVS Pharmacy on SW Broadway and take a right, going North.

6. Continue North on SW Broadway for 2 and a half blocks (4 minutes/0.2 miles). Hotel Lucia's main entrance will be on the right, in the block between SW Washington St and SW Harvey Milk St. You have arrived!

Free parking will be available for anyone driving into the ACM (including locals), but only at the approved Union Bank parking garage across the street from the venue.

Parking for Locals and Out of Town Travelers
Unlike last year, the parking garage is not associated with the hotel so there will be no opportunity to verify your ticket at the hotel's front desk. Instead, please pay for your parking and hold onto your receipts to submit for reimbursement from WEO after the ACM ends.

Important note! The parking lot is not an in-an-out lot, so you will need to pay every time your car leaves throughout the day.

•  July 25th - Friday: Travel day for out-of-towners. Locals are expected to work as usual.
Please consider the following when planning your outfits for the week.
•  The venue has AC and may be on the cool side, while Portland is expected to be quite warm, so we recommend that you dress in layers.
•  No sweatpants
•  No flipflops
•  No clothing that is ripped, torn, or frayed
•  Jeans are okay, if they adhere to the above rule
•  Safe-for-work graphic tees are okay, but please be mindful of the subject matter
•  We recommend wearing more businessy business casual attire for our plated dinner on Thursday!
Portland can be dry, hot and sunny this time of year. Evenings are typically 20 degrees cooler, so plan to bring a light jacket if you run cold. The venue has AC and may be on the cool side, so we recommend that you dress in layers.

On Tuesday evening from 3pm to 6pm, we will be gathering at Ground Kontrol for three hours of fun! Ground Kontrol is a Portland barcade (bar-arcade) classic. Numerous arcade video games like DDR, Street Fighter, Pac-Man as well as retro pinball games are available to play while enjoying drinks and casual food.

Drink tickets and dinner/snacks will be provided. An unlimited game card will also be provided to anyone who wants one, ka-ching!

We will have a 15 minute break between presentations and this social to give you time to quickly refresh yourself and get over to Ground Kontrol. Because of the close proximity, there are no public transportation options available, though you can always catch a ride share! (Ride share trips will not be reimbursed by WEO.)
